Caroline Garmo
Caroline Garmo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University in 1993 and earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1997. She is a member of both the Family Law Section and the Children’s Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, as well as the Michigan Inter-Professional Association on Marriage, Divorce and the Family.
Ms. Garmo focuses her practice primarily on family law and her experience in this area is extensive. She devoted her time to the Free Legal Aid Clinic, where she assisted numerous underprivileged families in all areas of divorce and family law and she also practiced family law in a small firm setting prior to establishing her own practice.
Ms. Garmo is also experienced in criminal law, having worked both at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and as a criminal defense attorney. Additionally, Ms. Garmo worked as in-house counsel for Childtime Childcare, Inc, a nationwide child care company, dealing with a variety of corporate matters, such as employment law, state licensing matters, contracts and risk management.
